An Amazing Red Hot Strings 2025

Wow – what an incredible time was had May 14th-18th at Centrum’s Port Townsend campus for Red Hot Strings 2025! Our outstanding bunch of instructors included Zoe Guigueno. Tyler Jackson, Dennis Lichtman, Mikiya Matsuda, Maxwell Poulos, Evan Price, Molly Reeves, Whit Smith, Craig Ventresco, Jeremy Wakefield, and our honored guest David Grisman. If you’re at all interested in the days when a fledgling Jazz language was being passed around by acoustic string players, and you dig the intersecting styles of New Orleans/Hot Jazz, Hawaiian, Western Swing, Ragtime, Jazzy string band traditions from the Carribbean to the Southern Jugbands, and of course Mandolin Orchestras…well, I hope you’ll pencil in the middle of May into your 2026 calendar!
